Since 2010 Talalla Surf Camp has specialised in professional surfing lessons and luxury surf and yoga retreats at a boutique hotel on Sri Lanka's southern coast. Our surf coaching packages are designed for people wanting to make surfing a big part of their trip, regardless of whether you're just starting out learning to surf or you're at a more advanced level. We are here to help you get the very best from your surfing experience in Sri Lanka


When you join us at Talalla Surf Camp you'll be surprised by how much you'll be able to learn through our structured approach. We focus on clear and engaging explanations, fun, safe surf sessions and analytical feedback, as well as video coaching and useful surf theory classes which help create the ultimate learn to surf environment for even the most accomplished surfers. We're careful not to mix ability levels and never have more than 4 surfers per coach. This means whether we're tempting you into the water for your first session, teaching you something slightly more advanced like catching your first unbroken wave or carving better turns. You will usually be in a group with a handful of other surfers that are at the same level your at, learning skills relevant to you and your peers. You will never have to wait for others to keep up, or feel left behind if you need extra practice.

A week at Talalla Surf Camp runs from Saturday to Saturday and once you're here we take care of everything; Elegant, spacious rooms, stunning open-air restaurant pavilion and poolside lounge with WiFi. Not forgetting an inclusive program with tailored technical surf coaching sessions, yoga, Massage and healthy, fresh fusion cuisine, so you can just surf and relax.
